LED Corn Lights are essentially large format LED bulbs. They are called cornlights because of their resemblance to an ear of corn with LEDs running along the side and often on the top of the unit thus providing a nice, wide beam angle. Corn Lights typically come in Medium (E27 or ES) or Large Screw (E40) Edison socket bases and are used in a wide variety of applications to replace traditional HID lamps where a much higher light output is required than what normal LED bulbs can provide. The LED Corn Light is most typically used to replace high bay lamps but can also be used in other fittings such as post tops, bollard lights or bulkheads. They are not recommended for installation in enclosed fittings as the heat build up can cause premature failure of the product.
