LED Bulbs are retrofit lamps designed to easily replace old inefficient incandescents, CFLs or halogen light bulbs. They offer a super bright, energy efficient solution with much longer lifespans than traditional bulbs which are fast phasing out worldwide. The term LED bulb is interchangeable with LED globe, GLS lamp or A60 lamp. Small LED bulbs are also referred to as Golf Ball or G45 lamps. The most common and cost-effective LED bulbs typically have a thermoplastic or aluminium body housing both driver and LED chip(s), utilising a frosted polycarbonate diffuser lens to reduce glare and distribute light evenly. Filament LED bulbs are more stylish and expensive, often made with a glass body, with long filament LEDs mounted inside, with the driver housed in an aluminum or plastic base. All LED Bulbs are available in various socket types typically in E27 Edison and B22 Bayonet, various wattages for increased illumination, warm to cool colour temperatures and some are even dimmable.
